Lauren Everitt

Lauren Everitt is a reporter with the Medill National Security Project. The Texas native specialized in health and science reporting at Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, and her work has appeared in the Northwest Indiana Times, Skyline News, Chicago Journal, Shore Magazine and the University of Chicago Spiritual Life website. Prior to Medill, Lauren worked in IT and made the jump to journalism after moving to Cape Town, South Africa, to write for The Big Issue. Lauren received a bachelor's degree in history from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. She currently writes for the BBC News Magazine in London with Medill's Global Residency Program.
